Dr. David John de Harter leverages over 40 years of distinguished service in medicine, having retired in 2009 after serving as a radiation oncologist, partner and assistant medical director at Mid-Florida Radiation Oncology Associates. Congruent to this position, he was head of operations for radiation oncology at the Treasure Coast Radiation Oncology Center and the Florida East Coast Cancer Center. Prior to these appointments, he excelled in leadership roles at health care facilities across the nation and served as a clinical faculty member at prestigious academic institutions. Dr. de Harter holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating from both universities with high honors. Subsequently, he completed a rotating internship, a residency in radiation oncology and a fellowship in radiotherapy and was certified in therapeutic radiology and radiation oncology via the American Board of Radiology. He also advanced to the rank of lieutenant commander in the United States Navy prior to his honorable discharge. Crediting much of his success to his curious nature and optimism, Dr. de Harter endeavors to master the art of sculpting as the owner of Galerie MOTO and write a set of memoirs.
