Michael Ettinger, Esq., leverages over 40 years of expertise as the President of Ettinger Law Firm, demonstrating exceptional legal prowess in elder law estate planning. Since 1991, he has lent his wealth of knowledge to the firm, which has expanded to 13 offices across New York and a client base of over 40,000 individuals under his leadership. Notably, he helps older adults navigate the intricacies of probate proceedings, legal costs, estate taxes and asset protection from long-term care costs. Contributing to scholarly work, he has authored over 100 articles and publications concerning elder law estate planning, including the 2023 work “Ettinger Law Firm’s Guide to Protecting Your Future,” which is renowned for its comprehensive discussion of older adult health. Additionally, Mr. Ettinger is a Founding Member and Past President of The American Association of Trust, Estate, and Elder Law Attorneys and was a Founding Member of both The American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys and The American Academy of Special Needs Planning. He holds a Bachelor of French Civil Law and a Bachelor of English Common Law, with honors, from McGill University and a Master of Laws in International Maritime Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
