Frederick Lobati, MD, FACP, MRCP

Dr. Frederick Lobati leverages decades of expertise in infectious diseases, culminating in his present role as a hospitalist at CoxHealth. Among his responsibilities, he maintains involvement with patients in hospital settings, relaying pertinent information about their health when they are being discharged from hospital services. In addition, he is well-versed in end-of-life issues, including palliative and hospice care. In conjunction with his work at CoxHealth, Dr. Lobati is a civil surgeon for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, screening immigrants coming to the U.S. to ensure their health status before they advance to obtain permanent residency or naturalization. Previously, he was an assistant professor of clinical medicine and the director of the Travel and Immunization Clinic at the University of Missouri Health Care and allocated his time in consulting and attending capacities to the Missouri Department of Mental Health, the University of Missouri-Columbia, the Marion VA Medical Center and the Kansas City Missouri Health Department, among other organizations. Dr. Lobati holds an MD from the University of Cologne and a diploma in community health and tropical medicine from Heidelberg University. He was honored with Physician Recognition Awards with commendations from the American Medical Association each year from 1999 to 2023.
