Dr. Michael Lee Bushnell has demonstrated excellence in multifaceted roles within the engineering, technology and academic sectors, drawing upon 50 years of experience. From 2008 to 2022, he was the co-founder and chief technology officer at Spectral Design and Test Inc., having recently established Spectral Chip Test Research LLC to reduce the cost of testing large integrated circuits. Concurrently, he taught at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, for 27 years from 1986 until attaining professor emeritus status in 2013, where he also served in the university’s CAIP Research Center, the Wireless Information Networks Laboratory and the Rutgers Center for Operations Research. Notably, Dr. Bushnell holds eight U.S. patents and one European patent and is honored as a lifetime fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Highlighted in Top 100 Magazine in 2019 alongside leading academics and industrial researchers, he previously earned the Presidential Young Investigator Award from the National Science Foundation in 1990. Dr. Bushnell holds a Master of Science in computer engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy in electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where he established the Neil and Jo Bushnell Fellowship in honor of his parents to fund the education of doctoral students.
