Dr. Fernando Raudales, a nephrologist and consultant with El Paso Kidney Specialists, is celebrated for more than four decades of excellence in medicine. Since founding the medical practice in 1990, he has concurrently served in several other roles, including as the medical director of Central City Dialysis since 1993 and Transmountain Dialysis since 2013 and as the medical director of transplant services at Las Palmas Medical Center since 2009. Furthermore, he has allocated much time to the Baptist Free Clinic since 2005. Earlier in his career, Dr. Raudales worked in numerous other capacities at Providence Memorial Hospital and Sierra Medical Center, where he was chair of the department of internal medicine for two years and the medical director of acute dialysis for 10 years. He graduated summa cum laude from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Honduras Facultad de Ciencias Medicas with a Doctor of Medicine in 1979 and was named Best Medical Student upon his graduation. Notably, Dr. Raudales is recognized as a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Hypertension and the American Heart Association. Adjacent to his career efforts, he has conducted significant research on hypertension and has disseminated his findings in prestigious medical journals.
