Dr. Patricia L. Busk

Dr. Patricia L. Busk is a recognized expert on educational statistics and methodology and an esteemed professor at the University of San Francisco, where she has taught since 1978. Her interest in teaching began as a child, and she discovered her aptitude for mathematics with the encouragement of her father. Dr. Busk was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in quantitative methods in educational psychology by the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1976 and spent two years as an assistant professor at Michigan State University before settling at the University of San Francisco.
In addition to teaching advanced statistics and performance-based assessment, Dr. Busk works with doctoral students during the proposal and development process, a responsibility she considers an honor. Her dedication to teaching and mentorship has been recognized with several University of San Francisco faculty awards, and she emphasizes that effective teaching is a lifestyle and a calling more than it is a full-time job.
