Bruce M. Fairbanks enjoyed more than 45 years of success in financial leadership and consulting for health care sector clients. A certified public accountant with an MBA in management from the University of Southern Mississippi, he began his career in 1976 as director of the healthcare consulting and auditing practice at Touche Ross. Throughout his career, he served as chief financial officer of several notable academic health care systems, including the University of California Davis Health Care System, UT Southwestern, and the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

In addition to his key role as a leader and driver of financial turnaround, Mr. Fairbanks built a thriving independent practice, HealthCare Financial Consultants, initially founded in 1991. He continued to consult until his retirement in 2022 and briefly taught at the Naval Postgraduate School. Mr. Fairbanks remains an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and sits on the board of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Stillwater Yacht Club.
