With a diverse 25-year background in writing and social work, Connie Goodman-Milone thrives as a freelance writer in Miami. In this regard, she is a noted co-author of the “Bereavement Poetry Project” and contributor to the “Cadence” anthologies through the Florida State Poets Association. Penning a column in the South Florida Writers Association’s “Author’s Voice,” she has also had poetry published in “Dark Wood,” “Of Poets and Poetry,” “Poets Corner” and “The Grief Observer,” among other texts. Earlier in her career, she was an editorial assistant at Chelsea House Publishers LLC, a freelance writer in Philadelphia and New York, a social work intern at the VA Medical Center, and a case manager in skilled nursing with HealthSouth. During this time, she contributed to a series of radio talk shows on Close-Up Radio, where she delved into topics such as the healing power of poetry and the importance of philanthropic initiatives. The past president and community relations director of the South Florida Writers Association, Ms. Goodman-Milone serves as a hospice volunteer with VITAS Healthcare, which bestowed upon her several accolades for her dedicated service. She supports Doctors Without Borders, the World Jewish Congress, UNHCR, the National Wildlife Federation, Amnesty International and related charities.
