Connie Goodman-Milone is an award-winning poet and philanthropist recognized for her strong presence in the South Florida creative writing community and her contributions to various charitable and humanitarian organizations. A firm believer that even small contributions can make a large impact, she has advocated for individual charitable giving, and is a dedicated supporter of Susan G. Komen, Doctors Without Borders, the World Jewish Congress, American Section, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation, Defenders of Wildlife, the American Red Cross, and the United Service Organizations. Ms. Goodman-Milone holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from George Washington University and a Master of Social Work from Barry University. She has worked with HealthSouth and interned at the Miami VA Medical Center, as well as several years of freelance writing about timely topics and issues. Known for her free verse poems and haiku, her work has appeared in numerous anthologies, journals, and newspapers including “Author’s Voice,” 2001-21, “Cadence,” 2017-21, “Dark Wood,” 2018, “Of Poets and Poetry,” 2013, and the “Miami Herald,” 2002-21. Ms. Goodman-Milone is a hospice volunteer with VITAS Healthcare. She is co-authoring an anthology on the power of poetry in the grief process, known as the “Bereavement Poetry Project.”
