D. Dean Riley, CPA, MST is currently retired from a career in accounting that spanned more than 50 years of success. He began his career with three years of proud service in the United States Army, where he took a career aptitude test that sparked his interest in accounting and financial services. He attended Bentley University, earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting, and returned in the 1980s to complete a Master of Science in taxation. He began his accounting career as a state income tax manager for Pneumo Dynamics in 1967, and served as a certified public accountant for a transportation company until 1982, when he launched his own firm, D. Dean Riley CPA, where he continued to see clients until his retirement in 2020. Mr. Riley credits his success to the personal connections and mutual respect that he cultivated with clients and staff throughout his career. In addition to his work with clients, Mr. Riley spent many years as an instructor at the University of New Hampshire. In his retirement, Mr. Riley is an avid sports fan and amateur athlete who enjoys tennis, baseball, boxing, and running, and an active volunteer for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
