Dr. Daniel E. Jolly is a board-certified special care dentist with more than 50 years of expertise in general practice and forensic dentistry. Since 2000, he has focused on forensic dentistry, and he currently serves as the chief forensic dentist and odontologist for the Franklin and Licking County coroner’s offices in addition to consulting for insurance companies and legal cases. Dr. Jolly is a former professor and director of general practice dental residency at The Ohio State University and the author of textbooks including “Dental Oncology” and the “OSU Manual of Hospital Dentistry.”
Early in his career, Dr. Jolly worked in private practice and taught at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, going on to serve as chief of restorative dentistry at the Truman Medical Center and later president of ImmediaDent of Ohio. Throughout his career, he has remained dedicated to international health care outreach work and has proudly served as director of the Honduras Clinic Project since 1992. In recognition of his commitment to service, he has been honored with several University of Missouri alumni awards and the Ohio Dental Association’s Humanitarian Award.
In 2025, Dr. Jolly sat down with WCMH Daytime Columbus to discuss his longstanding tenure in dentistry. A national press release publicized his appearance.
