Dr. David John de Harter is distinguished for his dual roles as a sculptor with Galerie MOTO and a retired radiation oncologist. Retiring from the medical profession in 2009, he previously served as a radiation oncologist, partner and assistant medical director at Mid-Florida Radiation Oncology Associates, also serving as the head of operations for radiation oncology at the Treasure Coast Radiation Oncology Center and the Florida East Coast Cancer Center between 1996 and 2010. Dr. de Harter also lent his expertise to academia as clinical faculty at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Earlier in his career, he served as a physician in the United States Navy, where he advanced to the rank of lieutenant commander. Among his many career milestones, he is proud of establishing a regional radiation oncology center alongside Dr. Gordon Adams and television host Johnny Carson in Norfolk, Nebraska, named the Carson Cancer Center, as well as earning a research award while serving as a resident physician at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. In the coming years, Dr. de Harter aims to master his craft in sculpting and begin writing a set of memoirs.
