Dr. David L. Hawk

Director | Center for Corporate Rehabilitation

Dr. David L. Hawk, director of the Center for Corporate Rehabilitation, leverages over 40 years of excellence in systems science, international business and environmental preservation. As a pioneer in managing climate change consequences from industrial practices, he has conducted comprehensive research on the relationship between human behavior and the natural environment, emphasizing that global leaders must create a “business as unusual” call to action to cultivate a prosperous, sustainable future. He has also penned many works on environmental sustainability and systems thinking, with two of his books – “Too Early, Too Late, Now What?” and “Short-Term Gain, Long-Term Pain: Climate Change as a Faustian Tragedy” – detailing the crucial need to prepare for climate change consequences. With plans to debut a new book on climate change in 2025, Dr. Hawk continues to serve as a proponent of dimensionality, aiming to assist others in understanding varying perspectives. Previously, he worked at The Wharton School and the Stockholm School of Economics, helping to create the Institute of International Business. As a global educator, he taught at the New Jersey Institute of Technology for nearly 30 years, and in Sweden, Finland, Japan and China. Dr. Hawk was spotlighted in the Cedar Rapids/Des Moines issue of Time magazine in March 2025.
