Dr. Roemer is a retired science teacher currently best known for his work lecturing and writing on topics at the intersection of science and theology. He holds a Bachelor of Science in physics from Fordham University, a Doctor of Philosophy in physics from New York University, and a Master of Business Administration from the Pace University Lubin School of Business. He began his career as a radiation therapy products manager for Litton Medical Systems and worked as a product specialist for Siemens Corporation before transitioning into teaching in 1984. Dr. Roemer continued to teach science and physics at Edward R. Murrow High School until his retirement in 1998. Since his retirement, Dr. Roemer has focused on his passion for fundamental theology, which he credits to the inspiring work of his metaphysics teacher, W. Norris Clarke. Dr. Roemer has contributed to professional journals and writes about topics including intelligent design and theological analyses of popular scientific ideas. He is a member of the American Philosophical Association, the Institute for Theological Encounter with Science and Technology, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
