Dr. Eckhart is a theologian, educator, and the author of “Jesus The Everlasting Hope of Humankind: Biblical Theology Prompted By Visions and Dreams from the Holy Spirit,” 2018. After earning a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Capital University in 1972 and a Master of Public Administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1974, Dr. Eckhart began a 34-year career in government administration including city- and county-level budget and policy analyst roles. He was division chief of the Ohio Legislative Service Commission from 1986 until 2004 and was an instructor at Ohio University and The Ohio State University from 2005 until 2008. In 2006, inspired by a Biblical Greek class at his church, Dr. Eckhart began taking classes at Ashland Theological Seminary, earning both a Master of Arts and a doctorate in Christian theology, and shifting his career toward theology and Bible study. Dr. Eckhart is active in humanitarian outreach, including support for World Vision, Samaritan’s Purse, and others, as well as supporting families, youth, and refugees through mentoring, housing assistance, and financial empowerment. He credits his success to his education and looks forward to continuing to write articles, teach from his book, and work within the community.
