Dr. Kettlewell is a retired global development education professional with more than five decades of experience in public schools, secondary, and post-secondary education. Before her retirement in 2012, she spent ten years with George Mason University as director of higher education programs and international post secondary development, and she is the former principal of the school’s International Center for the Arts, Culture & Education. In addition to her work with George Mason University, Dr. Kettlewell is a former administrator for Northern Virginia Community College and Southern Arkansas University of Technology, and was an associate professor at Tidewater Community College. Dr. Kettlewell considers the highlight of her career to be her work on the development of an international university in Montenegro, and she remains active as director and chair of the LEAD Foundation, among other community service initiatives. She is the co-author of several textbooks and educational manuals and the author of “Blessings Abound.” Dr. Kettlewell holds a Doctor of Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, a Master of Arts from Old Dominion University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Muskingum College.
