Graham William Archer is a marine engineering expert currently serving as the principal surveyor, auditor, and expert witness at GWA International Marine & Industrial Consultants LLC. For more than five decades, his work has helped ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance, and his career has included roles with the United States Department of Justice, Braemar Technical Services, and Pacific Gulf Marine, as well as projects in China, Nigeria, Russia, and Kazakhstan. His diverse expertise ranges from offshore oil facilities to salvage operations, and he holds over 30 industry certifications in maritime safety.
In his current role, Mr. Archer oversees a fleet of ships with a focus on conducting Coast Guard-mandated audits and enforcing occupational and procedural safety. He remains passionate about the maritime industry and plans an increased emphasis on sharing his experience with others by writing a book, consulting, or teaching. Mr. Archer looks forward to exploring other specialties in his field, including opportunities in high-end shipping insurance.
