Dr. Hans Jorg Stahlschmidt, a clinical psychologist and senior core faculty member at PACT Institute LLC, is widely regarded for his innovative treatment methodologies within mental health circles. Serving the PACT Institute as a senior trainer and the dean for student affairs, he has supported the organization’s mission of training therapists to effectively treat patients and couples since 2014. Likewise, he has been the owner, founder and clinical psychologist at his own clinical practice in California since 1988, focusing on treating couples with infidelity, self-esteem, and marital and relationship conflict. In addition to these specializations, Dr. Stahlschmidt boasts extensive experience in treating patients with mental health conditions through individual psychotherapy and group counseling and is an expert in men’s health. Dr. Stahlschmidt previously worked as a clinical psychologist in his native Germany and draws upon an undergraduate degree and a Master of Science in psychology from Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. After relocating to the U.S., he received a PhD in clinical psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute. Outside his professional ventures, Dr. Stahlschmidt is a published poet and leverages metaphorical language for facilitating therapeutic processes. Looking ahead, he aims to integrate psychedelics and new consciousness into his therapy models.
