Dr. Jewel Montgomery Smay is a board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist and medical administrator celebrating over a decade of advanced patient care. Since 2013, she has excelled as the president and chief executive officer of Montgomery Anesthesia Service, building on her clinical practice serving pediatric patients within the St. John Health System, the Hillcrest Healthcare System, and University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Smay was conferred a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2007 by the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed residencies in both general and pediatric anesthesiology before beginning her career as a provider. In 2020, she moved into administrative leadership as the medical director of NorthStar Anesthesia, rising to regional medical director before stepping down in 2023 to focus on independent practice. In the coming years, Dr. Smay plans to pursue a C-level executive role or Fortune 500 board position, and she completed a Master of Business Administration in health sector management from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business in 2023. Outside her work in clinical care, Dr. Smay is currently developing a new business venture supporting neurodivergent children and their families.
