Ms. Fern is the founder and owner of J&S Operated Equipment Rentals, an independent business providing industrial equipment and excavation, demolition, and grading services to clients since 1993. The company was established when her husband, a heavy equipment operator, was working with a client who expressed a need for more owners and operators to contract with. Seeing an opportunity for growth, Ms. Fern told her husband she could help, and created J&S Operated Equipment Rentals to capitalize on other openings in the market. As company owner, Ms. Fern oversees all aspects of business management, including financing and invoicing, human resources and benefits administration, and customer relationships. She credits her long-term success to her perseverance, hard work, and commitment to quality, and is proud to have maintained a reputation for stellar customer service over three decades of operation. Ms. Fern looks forward to continuing to expand J&S Operated Equipment Rentals and to live by her philosophy of “staying happy and putting people to work” for years to come. In her personal time, Ms. Fern is active in community charitable outreach as a supporter of Angels Against Hunger and the Painted Turtle Kids Camp.
