Dr. Joseph A. Trzasko

Neuropsychologist, Forensic Psychologist | Private Practice/Consultation

Dr. Joseph A. Trzasko, a globally renowned neuropsychologist and forensic psychologist, retired in 2018 following over 40 years of career excellence. Formerly maintaining a private practice in clinical psychology, he also lent his expertise to Saint Dominic’s Intermediate Care Facility for the Developmentally Disabled. As such, he is recognized as a psychological evaluation specialist, through which he has conducted numerous forensic and neuro-psycho-educational evaluations and provided referrals for diagnostically complex cases. Outside his clinical practice, Dr. Trzasko served for over 35 years as a full professor at Mercy College until attaining emeritus status in 2008. Furthermore, he worked for the Supervised Lifestyles Behavioral Health Clinic, was chair of educational psychology for the CLEP Test Development Educational Testing Service, and was a consulting psychologist for several New York-based organizations. Dr. Trzasko was also a co-author of such books as “Working with Visually Impaired Young Children: A Curriculum Guide for Birth to 3 Year Olds” in 1992 and “Working with Visually Impaired Young Students: A Curriculum Guide for 3 to 5 Year Olds” in 1998. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Vermont; psychology licenses in New York, New Jersey and New Hampshire; and a license and board certifications in psychology specializing in forensics.
