Dr. Kara Leigh Roncin, a pathologist with CHI Health (CommonSpirit Health), is a rising leader with nearly 10 years of experience. Since 2023, she has been affiliated with CHI Health, a nonprofit, faith-based health system, and the Creighton University School of Medicine, where she is a clinical instructor. With specialized expertise in surgical and breast pathology, Dr. Roncin is noteworthy for collaborating with clinicians to promote comprehensive patient care. Before joining CHI Health, she was a pathologist and clinical fellow in surgical pathology at the Saskatchewan Health Authority in Saskatoon, Canada, and a fellow in selective pathology, with a breast pathology focus, at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University. Earlier in her career, she was a resident doctor in combined anatomic and clinical pathology. Distinguished as the Top Surgical and Clinical Pathologist of the Year by the IAOTP in 2025, Dr. Roncin was coined a Top Doctor by Marquis Who’s Who and featured by Self! Magazine in 2025, among other accolades. She holds an MD and a Bachelor of Science in health science from the Medical University of the Americas and a Bachelor of Science in anatomy and cell biology, with honors, from the University of Saskatchewan.
