Keith Amparado is an entrepreneur and educational advocate of the Shirley Chisholm Center for Equity Studies at the State University of New York Empire State College (SUNY). He holds a Bachelor of Science from the SUNY Empire State College, and has remained active in teaching and working to create educational and social opportunities for young Black and Latino men, inspired by his experiences as a young Black man. Mr. Amparado is the former Assistant Director of the school and president of the Board of Directors of the State University of New York Alumni-Student Federation. After caring for his parents following their Alzheimer’s diagnoses, Mr. Amparado created the Alzheimer’s Caregivers Group at New York University, dedicated a scholarship in his parents’ honor, and has been active as a trainer for CaringKind and the Alzheimer’s Association. In addition to his work for the SUNY system, Mr. Amparado is the founder and president of KDA Communications, established in 1985 as a way to build on his background in technical writing, systems analysis, and data processing across industries. KDA Communications has provided consulting services to clients including New York University Financial Systems and the New York City Board of Education’s Special Education Projects panel.

Through his work at KDA Communications, Mr. Amparado has provided his skills and expertise as a market research consultant and consultant for the New York City Board of Education Special Education Projects.
