Lea-Ann M. Riddell is well-regarded in the health care industry for her decades-long dedication to nursing, particularly within the sphere of obstetrics and postpartum care. First earning a diploma in registered nursing from St. Clair College-Thames Campus in 1987, she served as a registered nurse at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVRHC) for more than 20 years from 1993 to 2017. Currently, she has thrived as the manager of resident care at Steeves & Rozema since 2018 while also holding concurrent roles as an education professional at both Lambton College and Georgian College since 2008. Throughout her career, Ms. Riddell has been guided by the expertise and mentorship of many individuals whose commitment to the nursing profession left an indelible mark on her professional growth. In this regard, she emphasizes the importance of knowledge, experience and critical thinking, three tenets of nursing that have shaped her approach to caring for others. Recognized by the Toronto Star for her success in the field, Ms. Riddell is particularly proud of maintaining close relationships with her patients, exemplifying the significance of a profound connection between a caregiver and their patients. Looking forward, Ms. Riddell intends to continue educating others and serving as a travel nurse.
