Lieda A. Shadwick leverages more than 20 years of teaching excellence, channeling her expertise to serve as a career and technical education (CTE) educator at Riverview Gardens High School. In her role from 2005 to 2010 and since 2019, she is responsible for teaching and motivating students as they prepare for life following their high school graduation. Adjacent to this role, she is an independent consultant for VIPKid (now VIP Teacher), a global online platform through which she teaches English as a second language to Chinese students. Earlier in her career, Ms. Shadwick was a CTE educator at Confluence Preparatory Academy, Northwestern Junior and Senior High School, Livingston High School and Venice High School. Previously, she served in the United States Army and Army Reserves for eight years, escalating to the rank of sergeant and serving overseas during the Gulf War. To attest to her success, Ms. Shadwick was named the Top CTE Educator of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals for 2024. She holds a Master of Arts in education technology from Webster University, as well as a Bachelor of Music in music performance and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.
In honor of her success, Ms. Shadwick was a featured article on the Who’s Who of Professional Women website.
Ms. Shadwick’s civic efforts were celebrated with the Worldwide Humanitarian Award and a feature on the Who’s Who of Humanitarians website by Marquis Who’s Who.
As a testament to her longevity in the field, Ms. Shadwick was bestowed with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023.
Ms. Shadwick was lauded for professional excellence in the education industry with a press release in 2022.
