Co-Founder | The Human Sentience Project LLC

In 2014, Dr. Margaret Boone Rappaport established The Human Sentience Project, LLC with astronomer Christopher Corbally, S.J. They focus on research in human cognitive evolution, neuroscience, space science and ecotheology. Dr. Rappaport authored six books and many papers, including “Capital Crime; Black Infant Mortality in America” (1989, Sage). She published “Capital Cubans; Refugee Adaptation in Washington, DC” (1989, AMS Press) and edited “Computer Applications for Anthropologists” (1992, Wadsworth) with John Wood. Her and Corbally’s first book was for young people, “Space Science and Astronomy Theatre” (2017, Archway). Next came “The Emergence of Religion in Human Evolution,” published in 2020 by Routledge. In 2021, she edited “The Human Factor in the Settlement of the Moon” (Springer) with K. Szocik. She works now with three co-authors on “The Science and Religion of Space Settlement; Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Theology Intersect.” She and Corbally remain at work on an unusual book combining narrative prose and neuroscience, titled “The Story of Bo; A Narrative Neuroscience.” She lectured for 15 years at Georgetown and George Washington Universities.
