Since 2022, Mikhail “Misha” A. Gebhardt has excelled as the program coordinator of the Workforce Management Division of the FEMA Corps section. In his role, he manages personnel for deployments and works closely with the FEMA National Response Coordination Center to provide staged support for emergencies and disasters before they are declared. His career with FEMA began in 2015, having joined AmeriCorps as a FEMA Corps member and assistant team leader. Subsequently, he was a recovery coordination specialist and senior advisor in FEMA’s Interagency Recovery Coordination cadre, an IA program analyst, and lead for the IA emergency notification system and continuity of operations planning. Concurrently, Mr. Gebhardt has served as a partner at Kais Financial LLC since 2021 and the managing director of the Life Leap Foundation since 2022, having also lent his passion for mental health awareness to the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center to support research for student-athletes. Mr. Gebhardt is deeply involved in civic endeavors as a legacy member of the Constellation Society of the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana chapters, among other appointments. He attributes his success to creating an equitable, healthy work environment, values that were instilled by his parents during his formative years.
