Nancy L. Yang is an award-winning pastel artist and past president of the Pastel Association of Taiwan, where she remains an active board member and consultant. Inspired by a lifelong love of Chinese art, she began painting at the age of 50 after recognizing pastel as the perfect medium for Chinese artistic principles. Her work has been internationally exhibited in group shows in Spain, Taiwan, Japan, and the United States, and she has provided poster artwork for the 2020 Invitational Biennial Pastel Exhibition. She has received honors from the Pastel Society of America, Audubon Artists, and the American Artists Professional League, among others.
Ms. Yang organized the 2014 and 2017 International Invitational Pastel Exhibitions and has served as a judge and curator for numerous other events. She considers her work on these shows to be a professional highlight and is proud to have established herself as a leading voice in contemporary pastel painting. Ms. Yang credits her success to the support and direction of her teachers, mentors, and creative peers and looks forward to continuing her body of work with a focus on floral and botanical subjects in the coming years.
