As the namesake of Nasreen Haroon Collections, Nasreen Haroon is an award-winning artist whose paintings have been selected for exhibition in international galleries and embassies. Recently, three of her abstract calligraphic paintings were purchased by the U.S. Department of State’s Permanent Collection and are displayed in the U.S. Consulate in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Celebrated for applying her artistic prowess to conversations on cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity and acceptance, she is a cultural ambassador, lending her expertise to charitable events and appearing in global media outlets. To this end, she has participated in various art workshops, roundtable discussions and museum presentations and served as co-chair of the Muslim-Jewish Dialogue and vice president of the Pakistan Arts Council of the USC Pacific Asia Museum. Likewise, she was appointed a cultural envoy to the United Arab Emirates and Algeria by the U.S. Department of State, where the American Embassy hosted an exhibition of 24 of her landscape paintings in the United Arab Emirates. Among her many career milestones, Ms. Haroon is proud of coordinating the painting of a mural at a local NGO for abused women and children. She earned the Trailblazer Award from NewGround: A Muslim-Jewish Partnership for Change, among other accolades.
