Pamela “Pam” Gayle Houser is a registered nurse and healthcare executive who has dedicated her career to providing award-winning, high-quality and compassionate hospice care. As the chief executive officer of Symponia Hospice, Ms. Houser has continued her long-standing commitment to cultivating a robust, patient-centered menu of treatment options. She is proud to have launched offerings including music therapy, internship, and volunteer programs, and she looks forward to continuing to innovate in the coming years. 

Throughout her career, Ms. Houser has been passionate about honoring the unique needs of veterans in healthcare settings, and she has been a champion of comprehensive PTSD treatment and suicide prevention programs for those who have served. She strives to raise awareness of the Vietnam veteran population currently in hospice and assisted living settings, and hopes to lay the groundwork for aging care programs that support the psychosocial needs of veterans for generations to come. Ms. Houser credits her interest in healthcare to the early influence of her parents, both human rights advocates and community leaders. Outside her work with Symponia Hospice, she is the head of the organization We Honor Veterans.
