After being called back to Nepal by the Tibetans, Sanat Buddha Maitreya Kumara embarked on his journey to help others with the Buddhist faith. Since 1995, he has excelled as the director of Shambala at the Shambhala Monastery in Kelseyville, California, in addition to supporting Nepal, the birthplace of Buddha Gautama, he sponsors three churches every week, supports an elderly home and feeds the poor through his centers in Nepal, the United Kingdom, and in Omaha, Nebraska. Mr. Kumara is a teacher, healer, musician, and utilizes all of his skills to connect with others. He is proud of becoming enthroned in 2000, and in 2005, received a Recognition Medal of Buddha Maitreya from the Nepal Buddhist Scholars. As a musician, he has written, produced and performed many Soul Therapy Songs for Personal and Planetary Ascension. He has collaborated with natural practitioners and doctors from Nepal, to help feed the elderly, orphans, schools and poor families. He recognized the physical and spiritual benefits of patients who received treatment and returned to California to open similar facilities with Monks and Nuns.
