Ms. Paschal is a mathematics teacher with the San Angelo Independent School District, where she has taught honors-level algebra and precalculus classes to students at Lake View High School since 1980. A graduate of Angelo State University, she holds a Bachelor of Science with a minor in biology and began her education career shortly after as a teacher’s aide. In addition to her work in the classroom, Ms. Paschal is active in student life and curriculum development as a coach for the school’s mathematics team and University Interscholastic League, and a member of the district curriculum writing team. She has served as an advisor and reviewer for algebra books by Holt Publishers and has been recognized for her dedication to education with multiple Teacher of the Year awards, a 40-year service pin, and induction into the International Association of Top Professionals Hall of Fame. She credits her success to her ability to connect with students and to the support of her own teachers and colleagues and considers it an honor to work alongside some of her former students. In her free time, Ms. Paschal enjoys photography, works with local community organizations, and plays the organ at her church.
