Dr. Susan O. Schall has thrived as the founder and lead consultant of SOS Consulting, LLC. She specializes in helping small- and medium-sized manufacturing companies improve the productivity of their daily operations while transforming them into places where people flourish along with profits. Dr. Schall also focuses on leadership, regularly providing individualized coaching and mentoring services to business leaders from various industries, including chemical, food and beverage, automotive, nonprofit and higher education. She holds a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in industrial engineering from Pennsylvania State University and is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence, and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Dr. Schall developed organizational and process expertise as an employee with industry leaders, including Eastman Kodak, DuPont, and General Electric. She has written and spoken extensively on process improvement, including contributions to ASQ Six Sigma Forum magazine, and developed remote learning solutions as a response to COVID-19 shutdowns. As a unique voice in her field, Dr. Schall holds leadership positions in numerous professional and academic organizations and has been honored with accolades, such as the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers’ Medallion Award and its Fellow Award, the group’s highest honor.
