Susie K. Whitney is the owner, president, and chief executive officer of SMJ Freight Solutions LLC, a freight shipping company specializing in logistics and supply chain support for clients throughout the United States and Canada. Her passion for shipping and logistics was inspired by her father, a trucker, and Ms. Whitney began her career in the field early. Before leading SMJ Freight Solutions LLC, Ms. Whitney developed her professional expertise in roles with several leading freight providers, including positions as a dispatcher for Primewood Transportation and Direct Transport and as a broker agent for Midnite Express Inc. At SMJ Freight Solutions LLC, Ms. Whitney is responsible for overseeing all operations, including handling payroll and financial functions, customer service, and acting as a point of contact between clients and carriers. She considers the relationships that she has built with her employees and clients to be the key to her success, and looks forward to continuing to grow SMJ Freight Solutions LLC with the eventual goal of passing it on to her son. Outside her work, Ms. Whitney is active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
