Tracey Scherban, PhD

Women Chemists Committee Chair | American Chemical Society

Tracey Scherban, PhD is a materials scientist, former engineering manager at Intel Corporation, an educator at Portland Community College and Portland State University and the chair of the Women’s Chemists Committee for the Portland Section of the American Chemical Society. Dr. Scherban is a passionate advocate for women in science, organizing two Women in Science Symposia with the American Chemical Society and attending the 2026 International Women and Girls in Science Assembly at the United Nations. She recently produced her first podcast, “Influential Women in Science.”
Dr. Scherban plans to continue advocating for women and girls in science through the American Chemical Society, the Materials Research Society and the United Nations, and with the help of Marquis Who’s Who.
