Secondary School Educator | Bowie High School

Drawing upon more than three decades of expertise in secondary education, Victor M. Renteria has served as an educator at Bowie High School within the El Paso Independent School District in Texas since 1993. Teaching mathematics to students who speak English as a second language, he is well-regarded for tailoring lessons to each students’ individual needs, ensuring their success. Before pivoting his career trajectory toward academia, Mr. Renteria served in the field of engineering in several capacities, including as a product, test supervisor at Rockwell International in El Paso, Texas, and in the areas of production, test technology at GUS Manufacturing Inc. He was also an engineering content instructor for TexPrep between 1992 and 2008. Receiving a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso in 1973, Mr. Renteria has since allocated much time to continuous education, receiving over 1,000 continuing professional education hours through the El Paso Independent School District, 152 hours with 127 badges from “MicroSoft in Education” since 2018, and certifications as a teacher and Nearpod Educator in Texas. As a testament to his success, Mr. Renteria was honored with the 30-Year Service Pin from the El Paso Independent School District in 2023.
