Willie Johnson

Dr. Willie Johnson, Jr.

Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors

Dr. Johnson is a seven-term Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors member who represented the 13th District from 2000 until 2022, when he was elected to the 2nd District. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Northwestern University and completed postgraduate education at the Wisconsin University of Theology, earning both a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in theology. A Certified Registered Social Worker, Dr. Johnson began his career in public service in 1987 as a medical worker with the Milwaukee County Department of Human Services’ Child Welfare and Financial Assisance divisions. He spent more than 11 years as a social worker before transitioning to politics, and currently serves more than 52,000 constituents as a member of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors. His work has included advocating for local business development, especially initiatives focused on women- and minority-owned businesses, and he is active in numerous policy groups and community boards. In recognition of his career efforts, Dr. Johnson has been the recipient of honors from the United States Small Business Administration, the Federal Highway Administration, and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, among others. He credits his success to his integrity and faith and looks forward to continuing to serve his constituents.
